Sherman Rosier, Fitness Professional

Sherman Rosier, a Tallahassee native, is owner and founder of Fit & Functional. He has been noted as Tallahassee's fitness expert.

He holds a Degree in Physical Therapy along with being a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Personal Trainer and Flexibility Therapist, Wellness Coach, NSTA Certified Running Coach, Certified Resist-A-Ball C.O.R.E Instructor, Certified Nutrition Specialist, 1st Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and extensive continued learning courses and workshops related to health and fitness.

Sherman's goal and mission is to Educate, Motivate, and Guide individuals to a healthier lifestyle in which achieving their potential level of fitness. He wants his clients to understand that there are no shortcuts and the 5 major keys to success are:

Jervan Etienne, Personal Trainer

Jervan Etienne is from Ocala, Florida. He is a NASM certified personal trainer and flexibility therapist. In high school he was involved in multiple sports including football, track, weightlifting, and wrestling.Jervan has a bachelors degree in Allied Health Sciences with a concentration of pre-physical therapy from FAMU. He has over 500 hours of volunteering work as a PT intern and has coached student athletes for two years. Jervan is currently doing personal training and teaching group training here at Fit & Functional.

AuCare Stokes

AuCare Stokes is from Tallahassee, Florida. She is a NASM certified Personal Trainer and holds a certificate in group fitness instruction with AFAA. AuCare has always been an advocate for movement and health. She has a background in dance and a certification in classical Pilates. AuCare graduated from FSU and continues to broaden her expertise outside of fitness with the Academy of Arts University. She enjoys helping others feel their best and believes wellness, self care and positivity go hand and hand.

Libby Lewis, Wellness Coach and Yoga Instructor

Libbie Lewis is a certified Health Coach and yoga instructor. She moved to Tallahassee to go to college at FSU to major in music performance, and she plays with professional orchestras in the area. Libbie is currently an online student getting a master’s degree in Health Coaching and counseling. She loves staying active by walking her basset hound and going to the gym with her husband.

Chantell Bell, Personal Trainer, Pilates, and Flexibility Therapist

Chantell Bell has obtained a diploma in personal training from National Personal Training Institute (June 2017), located in Winter Park, Florida. She is a proficient athletic instructor who works diligently to facilitate an atmosphere that entails the construction of high self-esteem, determination, and health gratification, while effectively encouraging clients to attain their personal objectives. Instructor Bell is a fitness professional who provides a spectrum of scientifically systematic health curricula, that emphasizes longevity, progress, and efficacy tailored to the specific needs of clients.

Michael Mellquist

Michael Mellquist is from Lakewood Ranch, Florida and moved to Tallahassee for school. He has been in the fitness industry for 6 years; 4 of which he competed in powerlifting and 2 years of personal training. He is certified in boot camp fitness and personal training. Exercise became his go-to when he started to realize how great of a impact it had on him mentally and physically. Michael strives to help individuals perform at their optimal potential and believes anyone can achieve their goals or desires through discipline and determination. Michael will be graduating from Florida State University in 2022 with a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology, in hopes to continue his education in Physical Therapy. Michael loves to give back to the community as he is on the advisory council board for the local non-profit community center “Project Annie”.

Tracy Grant

Tracey Grant is a certified personal trainer. She has been doing personal training since 2008. Although her passion is helping others live a healthy active life style she has a variety of experience in customer service, sales & marketing & business development. She graduated from Florida State University and majored in Sociology with a minor in Child Development. She also has a degree in Legal Assisting and holds a Personal Training Certification from ASFA. She is active in the Tallahassee community and has served on several committees and enjoys fundraising. She has been involved and has supported Treehouse since 2011 and is currently on the Executive Board. She is originally from New Smyrna Beach, FL and has been in Tallahassee for eighteen years. Tracey enjoys spending time with friends and family and especially her daughter Kyleigh. She loves college football, working out and relaxing at the beach and giving back to her community.

Laura Powers

Laura Powers is certified by ACE as a personal trainer, fitness nutrition specialist and certified flexiblity therapist.  Originally from Orlando, Florida, she hails from a family of water sports athletes. Her background in movement has included dance, competitive figure skating, and aerial circus arts. In her time at Florida State University, she performed with the Flying High Circus, and she continues to train independently on the aerial fabric. Her formal studies have been in Studio Art (BA) and Special Education (MS), which bring a perspective of creativity and inclusivity to her practice as a personal trainer. As a fitness professional, Laura is particularly passionate about movement quality, sustainable lifestyle change, women’s strength, and facilitating access for individuals with disabilities. In her free time, Laura loves to oil paint, volunteer locally, read, longboard, and run outside.
